I have completed my course, when will I get my certificate?

Firstly, huge congratulations on completing your course! We know what an achievement that is. 🎉

We understand you’re excited to receive your well-deserved certificate. While the wait can be tough, a little patience is needed as there’s a process to follow.

After you complete the course, we request your certificate from the awarding body. Depending on your course, this can be very quick or take a bit longer due to the level of quality checks required. Some courses need all learners’ work to be checked, others require a random sample, and some complete periodic checks. These factors determine how long it takes to receive your certificate.

The average certification timeframe is 12-24 weeks*; however, this may differ, depending on the course you’re studying. Regulated qualifications require that all course grades be verified internally and externally before a certificate can be awarded, which can impact the timescales.

*This timescale can differ for Access to Higher Education Diplomas. Your results will have to be ratified by the Academic Assessment Board before your certificate can be ordered. The Board meet on specified dates throughout the academic year so you will be advised of time scales for the ratification of your results once your final assignment has been marked and graded.
